The young and talented R&B crooner has returned with his highly anticipated sophomore album. Chris brings on some big named guests (Will.i.Am, T-Pain, Big Boi, Game) yet he really captures you on the songs he flies solo on. The flavorful and hit worthy “Throwed” opens the album up in a brilliant fashion. The lyrics are intoxicating, the hook vibrant and the beat effervescent. “With You” is going to make women melt. The very romance heartfelt strewn lyrics on top of a very sincere and soft beat make up one of the most emotional tracks on the album. Things get funky and fun on “Gimmie Whatcha Got” which features Lil Wayne. The beat is lofty and Wayne’s rhymes flow gracefully on top of them while Chris’s voice bellows in a spectacular fashion. There are a couple bonus tracks “Get At Ya” and “Mama” are a nice mix to the end of the album. “Mama” is a very sweet song dedicated to the women we all love, the one who brought us into the world. The CD isn’t done yet, he even ahs more by tossing on two special bonus tracks “Nice” and “Down”. “Down” features Kanye West and has almost a rock and roll tone to it. Very well rounded album with touches of hip hop and vast creativity making Chris stand out and shine above some of the other R&B stars currently putting out albums.
