The tween who has taken America by storm with her TV show and alter ego Hannah Montana has released an album under her real name, Miley Cyrus. Being the daughter to famous and popular Billy Ray Cyrus, has definitely benefitted her in knowing what to expect in the industry. The twelve tracks on the album are very vibrant and extremely catchy, even adults will end up having her tunes stuck in their heads. Her first single off the album “7 Things” is already scorching up the charts and tearing up the airways. It’s very upbeat and explosive. The lyrics flip flop from 7 things she likes about you and 7 things she hates about you making it full of twists and turns. The title track and first cut off the album “Breakout”, sets the tempo for the album. Speedy guitars and pummeling drums are tied beautifully to pristine bass lines and occasional keys. Her vocals flourish in a fun fashion on top of the effervescent beat. She brings in her rendition of the classic Cyndi Lauper hit “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” which has a definitely unique feel. She tones things down drastically on the song “Bottom Of The Ocean”. A very nice, soft, lofty and floating song that is very soothing with emotion filled lyrics. The hottest track comes in the course of “See You Again (Rock Mafia Remix)”, which she shakes up her already hit song with some different sounds to it and shaking up the musical aspect. The lyrics are the same and definitely addictive. Pretty awesome and catchy CD form this young musical superstar, goodbye Hannah Montana, hello, Miley Cyrus.
